Virtual Meeting May 4 at 12 Noon
This week, Dr. Jennifer Lackey will speak on "Mental Health Issues Connected with the COVID-19 Pandemic."

Note you can join the virtual meeting at 12:00 noon this week and you will not be held in a waiting room.  The meeting will formally begin at 12:10 pm.  We will adjourn at 1 PM, but we are able to carry the meeting longer for anyone who wishes to stay on to chat.

President Elect, Sheila Mark, reports that there were 44 attendees at last week's virtual meeting.  Two of the attendees were visiting Rotarians, one from Jamaica and one from St. Martin, who found our meeting on Facebook.

In the midst of our shelter-in-place regimen, it is reassuring to be able to come together and meet live with other Rotarians at our regular meetings again.  Before the formal meeting, some of the usual spontaneous interactions between attendees do take place.  (And all attendees experience all of them.)  The presentations have gone very well, and the question and answer periods have been quite lively.  If you have not yet attended a virtual meeting, please give it a try.  We all benefit from each other's presence!

So again, to join the meeting, click on the URL in your invitation email (or the copy below).  If this is your first Zoom meeting, it will prompt you to download the Zoom software (if you have not already done so).  It is recommended that you start your sign-in about  5-10 minutes before the meeting.  Note:  Sheila Mark reports that we have upgraded to the Zoom Pro Edition so that the length of the meeting is essentially unlimited by Zoom.  However, should you unexpectedly get cut-off from the meeting, whether because of poor internet connection or because unexpected Zoom behavior, simply re-join the meeting as you did at the start.

For first timers, Marcia Chadly has a great video on You Tube showing you how to use Zoom:  https://youtu.be/9isp3qPeQ0E .  You might want to watch this before Monday and try a Zoom meeting with friends or family.

The following is a "copy" of the invitation for tomorrow's meeting.  Feel free to forward  this invitation to family members, friends or colleagues that you would like to invite to join us.

Sheila Mark is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
