Virtual Meeting Tomorrow, Mar 29, at Noon

Our speaker will be Rotarian Vitaliy Bezrodnov speaking on the Rotary International Fund RCF.
A little background:  While a young member of a Cleveland Rotary Club, Vitaliy Bezrodnov, working with other members of that club in 2003, founded the ROTARY International Fund RCF (originally called the "Rotary Childrens Fund").  RCF is a 501(c)3 fund now primarily supporting the international Cultural Exchange Program called GOLDEN GATES.  Vitaliy has been the coordinator of this program since its inception.  (Note:  From 2007 he has has been a member of Rotary Club of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.)  The program has reached over 1 Million people in the US.  Over 500 youth and young adults have had the opportunity to travel Internationally as cultural ambassadors in the program.  Since 2003, he has coordinated the participation of over 40 groups from different countries.  The GOLDEN GATES program, with primary funding through RCF, connects and builds cultural bridges between the US and the World.

Note:  Vitaliy Bezrodnov was born in Kazakhstan and, as a young man, immigrated to the US from Russsia in the 1990's.  Also note:  He is a professional musician and is the leader of a trio called "Moscow Nights" that performs Russian folk music played on Russian instruments.

The virtual meeting will be hosted again by President, Sheila Mark Note the meeting will begin at 12 Noon.  We will adjourn at 1 PM, but are able to carry the meeting longer for anyone who wishes to stay on to chat.

To join the meeting, click on the URL in your invitation email and provide the password (included in your invitation email) if requested.  If this is your first Zoom meeting, you will be prompted to download the Zoom software (if you have not already done so).  It is recommended that you start your sign-in about  5-10 minutes before the meeting.  Note:  Should you unexpectedly get cut-off from the meeting, whether because of poor internet connection or because unexpected Zoom behavior, simply re-join the meeting as you did at the start.
For first timers, Marcia Chadly has a great video on You Tube showing you how to use Zoom: .  You might want to watch this before Monday and try a Zoom meeting with friends or family.
Note: Feel free to forward your invitation-email to family members, friends or colleagues that you would like to invite to join us.
See you all on Monday at 12:00 Noon and Have your Happy Bucks ready!!
On Becoming a Peacebuilder Club

Our Mar. 1 Virtual Rotary Meeting included a discussion (lead by Pres. Sheila Mark) concerning our serious consideration of becoming a "Peacebuilder ROTARY Club".  The meeting included parts of the video of a District ROTARY Meeting devoted entirely to that very topic!  The first speaker in the video presents a particularly interesting discussion of ROTARY's long history of involvement in 'World Peace" issues.

All members are encouraged to check-out the video referenced above!  I am sure we are going to hear more about this topic in the near future.
