Thanks to everyone who helped to make the event a huge success with a sell-out crowd.  The food is always good, but this

year’s was the best ever. The pakoras, samosas, and chicken 65, along with mango lassi, kept the edge off our hunger during the entertainment.

The performers were incredibly talented, starting with Sharell Arocho, who gave us chills with her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Indian music followed with an incredible singer of classical music and a talented classical dancer, The Folk and Bollywood dancers added to the fun and a Colombian classical dancer rounded out  the global atmosphere.

The meal was superb, with chicken curry, lamb masala, dal (lentils), saag paneer (greens with cheese), nav ratna korma (9 vegetables), and Kheer (rice pudding).

The silent auction alone brought in over $2700.  The proceeds will go to the Bella Maria Water Project and scholarships for OU students to study in India.
